“The hardest thing about…..milking cows”, observed a farmer, “is that they never stay milked.”

Have you ever felt like your life is a little like painting the Forth Bridge? As soon as work is finished, it is ready to begin again. Like the life of the farmer whose work never ends
there is always so much more to be done.

It is important however, to enjoy the blessings of the little things in the middle of a very busy and challenging life as John Lennon illustrates when he said that “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” It is so true, time is precious.

Parish life too has been though an extremely busy period with many different fundraising events ranging from the Raft race, to the Golf Day and Flower Festival. We were completely overwhelmed by the generosity and support that we were given thoughtout these events at a parish, community and province level.

I want to congratulate and thank all who worked so hard to make these fundraising events such a joy. Each event involved contagious enthusiasm, support, time, lots of laughter and very hard work and I am deeply proud and excited.

So its onward and upwards, there are important things ahead of us as we seek to develop our parish further. Please support the Head 2 Toe events which will again bring people together and be a fantastic weekend. Please take this opportunity to build new and lasting relationships and renew old ones. Take time to be with one another and grow together.

Whatever is true, whatever is noble,
Whatever is right, whatever is pure,
Whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable –
If anything is excellent or praiseworthy –
Think about such things. Philippians 4:8

With love and prayers
