Its that time of the year again!

The time of year to begin preparations for Christmas. The time of year to engage and I inspire others to focus their attention on the good news that is found in these words: Peace on Earth, God and sinners Reconciled. Christmas is about God sending His Son, Jesus as a tiny baby, into the world to be its saviour.

The four weeks before Christmas are known as the season of Advent. Advent means ‘coming’, so it’s the time when we prepare for the coming of Jesus into this rather messy and muddled world that we humans inhabit.

In the bible we read that God loved the people of this world so much that he gave up His only Son, so that everyone who has faith in Him will have life forever and never die. We remember the greatest gift given by God as we give meaningful presents to those we love.

And so in some short remarks I invite you to fully engage with the events over the next few weeks and months. I look forward to sharing fellowship as we celebrate the real King.

May the words of this prayer truly take on a new meaning for us in these weeks.

With Advent and Christmas love and good wishes,

Diane

O God, give us grace to cast away darkness and put on the armour of light in this life, in which your Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; that when He comes gain to judge both the quick and the dead, we may rise to life immortal, though Him. Amen
