Malcolm Ferry

Malcolm FerryMalcolm Ferry (Rector)

Malcolm, originally from Castlecaulfield in Co Tyrone, is married to Carol and they have 3 children, James, Sarah and Rebekah. Malcolm studied at Queen’s University Belfast and was a Teacher of Computer Studies and Business Studies.  Following a time working as a Project Manager in Industry, Malcolm returned to his studies in Trinity College Dublin as a member of the
Church of Ireland
Theological College.

Malcolm Ferry was ordained as a Deacon, of the Church of Ireland in 1996 for the parish of Agherton in Portstewart in the Diocese of Connor.  In 1997 he was ordained Priest and in May 1999 became Rector of Cairncastle and All Saints, Craigyhill.  He has been in the Parish of Castlerock and Dunboe since May 2003.

“I really enjoy working in the Villages of Castlerock and Articlave, both are friendly and distinctive”

“I feel I am one of the lucky one’s who has the beautiful north coast shore line on my doorstep, the beach provides one of the best ‘stress busters’ I know!”

Malcolm has a keen interest in Music and Cars.

Adam Quigley

Adam QuigleyAdam Quigley (Curate)

Our Curate, was appointed to the parish in 2003 when he was ordained into the Auxiliary or Non-Stipendiary Ministry. He works full-time for the Roads Service in Londonderry as a civil engineer, dealing with planning applications in the Development Control section.

He is 51 years old and has been happily married to Marlyn for 26 years. They have three children, Gareth is at Glasgow University studying Dentistry, while Andrew is hoping to go to Queens University to study Civil Engineering.  Sarah is at
Loreto College in nearby Coleraine. Adams ‘home church’ is St. Augustine’s in Londonderry, but Killowen Church in Coleraine was his ‘home’ after getting married until his ordination.  Now well settled in Castlerock and Articlave, Adam assists the Rector with the church services and is involved with the Fringe youth group and Bible studies.

Since committing his life to Jesus as a student in Birmingham many years ago, Adam has felt God’s presence in his life guiding and directing him, albeit sometimes only recognising God’s direction afterwards!  His favourite verse is probably from Jeremiah, chapter 29 verse 11. This is the first verse he committed to memory after his conversion and it continues to provide comfort and a challenge.

“For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
